dear friends,
it’s been a very short run, but i have decided to close songstr. i started it while i was staying up all night to write a paper, and just don’t feel like updating it anymore. i really did intend on keeping up with this, and i do like to be taken seriously when i start new things… so, yeah. i’m sorry! i’ll promise i’ll still be updating part-time jobs i have known and loved.
i’ve decided to go out with a bang, so here’s the background story that accompanies today’s extra-special mp3. when i was 10 or 11 i was really, really, REALLY into Z100/pop music (this was before i started downloading music online). every day, i spent… um, a lot of time working on an ongoing project i called “Greatest Hits Mix.” this entailed hanging out next to my boombox and taping approximately 3 seconds of every song i knew.
i am still not sure why i did this.
